Due by April 1st

Ryuumon Hozukimaru! Started. I have parts cut out and taped together, working on sewing it and putting the base together. And I have part of one of the chains!

Ikkaku Madarame Bankai uniform. Started. I have the pants, now to take them apart and make them into Hakama.

Shinigami-Sama costume with working hands. Started, the hands are looking good, next step is the gloves so the fingers work better.

Tsubaki Nakatsukasa costume and weapons. Unstarted. I got material, but that's it. GODS~! this is my costume too!

Tenten costume with weapons. I have to rebuild Tenten from the ground up for MTAC... oui... this can be done this can be done this can be done this can be done.

Renji Abari Shinigami uniform. Not started. The uniform is easy, black hakama, white gi, black top, red wig styled.

Howl Zabimaru! Started. Prototype done and it works, now to get to work on the real thing. It extends and retracts hehheehe

Tsunade's hat. I have the base, when I get the camp foam to do it I'll get it done then.

Transforming Tetseiga (with crimson form) A side project that if it's done by April TERRIFIC if not, no huge loss. I'd like it done by then so I can auction it off
though.

The new year is upon us. Which means a lot of change for a lot of people. New semester for me. Aaaand Landreth is trying to con me into accepting he needs a new 3000 dollar laptop. I know you're reading this dear. And I still say -no- But then.. at lest you're not trying to buy an HP... I'm hoping I win the auction on the nice little 300 buck imac I'm looking hat. If I do... expect more art updates from me! I'll have a decent editor and paint program. Next up... actually I forgot what I was going to say -.-;.
I hate this laptop though. the keys are all funny and the mousepad's weird. Anyway!
Next on the agenda, something that's been running through my head for-evah- has been my ATLA story. I've started writing down stuff for it, and I'll be rearranging the pieces and redoing my Returning to the Labyrinth story soon. (I know I keep saying I'm going to and never get around to it.... gomen!)
This time I've actually started work on both though so it's alright.
I have... SO much to do before April.... It kinda bites, but at the same time, I LOVE a challange.
I have a HUGE Ikkaku challenge ahead of me, and as soon as Roji gives me the money I'll be constructing an ikkaku cosplay for him. I'll DEFINITELY get pictures up of that. Because well... it'll be just too freakin' cool! A collaspable, portable, seven foot wide, five foot tall, with two huge pole arms and chain with links the size of your head Bankai mode of Ikkaku. WOO_HOO! And I'm getting paid for this one!
I'm wondering if I should try maybe making a seperate account and keep all my cosplay stuff in it... But for now I'll just put it all right here.
I'll be putting up the avatar stuff soon, I made a new character at about four this morning when I woke up and couldn't sleep, I think she's cool.. maybe if I can get her drawn and written up well enough the oc club will accept her.

I can remember Guy Fawkes day because it's the day before mom's birthday. I try to celebrate her birthday on the fifth, just because she was home birthed, and all we can really prove is the doctor knew on the sixth she was born.
She's ranting, like I knew she would, that Obama won.
We had both voted for Nader.
And I'd like to know what happened to our votes? Why, throughout the entire election was Nader left out of discussion, or how about Cynthia RossMcKinney and Rose Clemente? I want to know what happened to the votes for them! With as many people as there were who were complaining about Obama and Mccain, and not wanting either, how come Nader never got a voice? What's the point in voting in a rigged election? The democrats are running both house and senate now. They're going to line the pockets of themselves, and those of us with just enough won't have enough anymore.
Go ahead, tax the rich, they're the ones who control the market. They'll just raise the price of everything to make up for the tax you're putting on them, and if you think you can't afford anything now, think of what it'll be like after the prices of everything doubles.

Apologies for not being on lately. I know I have several watchers and I haven't gotten anything updated.
While my hubby might think I'm coming up on 10k pageviews... not quite. I am, however coming up on 4k, if anyone wants to catch it for me. If anyone's actually watching for it anyway. *chuckles*

Anyway! I went to AWA (Anime Weekend Atlanta) so if any of my watchers were there, post me! I might've seen you. but it's more likely someone saw me. I was Nemu Kurotsuchi on friday, Enma Ai on Saturday morning, Nemu again for the bleach photoshoot, then turned into Rose Thomas, Holy Mother of Liore, from Fullmetal Alchemist. I'll post pictures of my costumes here, on cosplaylab.com and photobucket. (links to folllow)

Swag I got included
a jigoku shoujo necklace of the hell seal, a new laptop bag with enma ai and the life candles on the front. A modoki purse and the last two volumes of jigoku shoujo. I also got three prints from the lovely cordeval, two chibi inuyasha/ chibi fluffy-sama prints and a Mustang is dead sexy in a mini skirt print. (Hope I can get Travis and Vic to sign it at MTAC '09).

What I did on thursday
Arrived via greyhound to my friend Lisa's (She has an account here) And made her Tsunade costume all night, remade her shirt and sash. The sash/belt thing didn't seem to work so she didn't wear it. That's alright though, 'cause at least it got done.

what I did friday
Went to bed at seven or so in the morning, napped for a little while while Lisa and her mom went to get the rental. Then.. we drove, picked up Baka-chan, and got to Atlanta in one piece, got set into the room and went to the con! Yay! After we finally managed to get our badges (so glad we got there early friday, we didn't have to wait nearly as long as other people did) and hit the dealer room.
All I can say is... wow. The Dealer room at AWA was HUGE! There were people not even finished setting up their tables, and getting there early enough on friday to get into the dealer room was awwwwesome! There was SO much fcool stuff in there. I was glad I budgeted my weekend (forced, was short on money) but man... so many nice things. I was walking around in my Nemu costume, Lisa in Rukia and we got a bunch of pictures taken. Especially with this little kid Aang that was SO adorable. He looked up at us and his eyes lit up and he said "Rukia and Nemu! Can I gt a picture with you.?" What was obviously his dad took out the Nikon SLR and we gladly took pics with the little fella, a while later he caught up with us again and asked for another picture. He apparently really liked our costumes. *chuckles* Spent some time in the artist's alley, and most of it in the dealer room or people watching in the lobby. A few people liked the costume, and that night I spent walking around and chatting with a Kenpachi. I'm an insomniac on con weekend. I've been up for two days before, and I don't really crash out until sunday night.)
So I wandered around talking to him. We wandered around and talked until we went to see a Hellsing Ultimate 4 screening. I managed to catch the last bit of the third episode of an anime I'd seen before but hadn't been interested in when I first saw it. Soul Eater.
Oh. My. Gods.
I LOVE Soul Eater now! It's hilarious! I don't remember why I didn't like it when I first saw it, but I didn't. And now that I've watched the whole series so far... I'm in love and I want Ai Okashi Cosplay to play it! (Jen and I are definitely doing it. She's Stein and I'm Tsubaki) It's GREAT! I highly reccomend it to anyone who likes Anime and Manga, read and watch it. It's amazing and great.
Hellsing 4 was as expected.. AWESOME And it was midnight so I headed back to the hotel with Baka-chan, since he was going back.

what I did saturday
Jigoku shoujo in the morning. Got up EARLY and took the shuttle to the convention centre/hotel where the con was. I hit the Dealer room first and wandered around and people watched. Since I left before the others even got up, I hadn't realized I'd left without my con badge. So when Lisa called me, I asked her to bring it with her. I'd been going in and out of the Dealer room all morning, like... five times already, and no one had caught me. So I sat down on the planter and waited for my Rukia to show up.
You'd think that a short perfect-haired rukia would be easy to spot... nope. I watched a Naruto Ataski group thingy... something... posing for pictures and managed to get a picture of my kimonoed counterpart. That was pretty cool. Her make-up was weird, but her kimono was really pretty! When Lisa caught up with me and gave me my badge, I went back to wandering around with her. We didn't really have much to do until around one. When I was going to change back into Nemu for a bleach photoshoot and she was going to go video tape a some cosplay panels for us. So we wandered around the con, dealer room and people watched until one, when I Went back to the hotel and changed back into Nemu. The photoshoot was fun! Even if it was really hard to peg down what time it actually was. I managed to make the 3o'clock one and got to pose with 12th division's former fukataichou and got to talk to a bunch of people from MTAC, suprisingly. It was great. I met up with the Gaara that ran through the bleach photoshoot at MTAC 08 pleading for sanctuary from the rabid fangirls that actually managed to chase him into a tree. He was fun, as was his friend playing Matsumoto (He was playing Toshiro) So there was that. My feet killed me, so I went back to people watching in the lobby and got some nice pictures (I think, I had the broken camera with no screen, heh. I liked it. I use an analog camera, not a digital.) MEt up with Lisa and tried to get into the steampunk panel. Missed it by a few people. And it looked soooo aweosome too. We went back to the room and I decided to change into Rose Thomas.
Disaster.
I have found something that looked worse than the horrible hideous pink thing. And that is me in tan-coloured makeup and trying to wear a mother mary analog costume.
Oh gods, shoot me now. I've found a picture someone took of me on sunday. And I look horrible.
You know. Friends are supposed to tell you when you look that bad! I got brown cream makeup all over it, and the -doubletree- we were staying at didn't have a laundry room!
So I spent the rest of the afternoon showering, hand washing and using a blow dryer to fix my Rose costume.
Crappy afternoon for me. Lisa went back to the panels.
By the time I got done, I still hadn't eaten anything that day, but I got my costume on and went back to the con.
People thought I was the virgin mary with a baby jesus. Apparently my mute glaring changed their minds, since when they'd ask "Are you the mother mary?" I'd glare, this look of recognition would cross their faces and they'd go "You're Rose! Cool!" And walk off. *facepalm*
Lesse.. Hit the dealer room with Lisa again and people watched, grabbed photos and we got part of her christmas/birthday shopping done. Then people watched out in the lobby some more before heading out before the rave with baka-chan.

what i did sunday
Rose Thomas, this time with bronzer makeup. I repeat my statemeant that friends are supposed to stop you when you look that bad.
We attended Vic's Morning service. It was a blast. He said a lot of the same things my mom and dad have told me over the years. I just think mom puts it in better terms. But I loved it.
After that we hit the dealer room one last time and tried to hit Vic and Travis' panel before having to go since I had to be back at the bus terminal before 6:30. Stupid bus was late and I didn't leave until 7:45.... Stupid bus)
Got home, crashed out and basked in the afterglow of con-fun.

I can't WAIT until next year.

Plans for next con
Next con! MTAC Ninja!
Since Angel has chosen our group theme. Academy version Bleach... Jen and my costumes don't change. Nemu never attended Shinigami Academy, and we're not sure Mayuri did either.
*chuckles* So that part is covered.
Since we'll be in Bleach costumes at least on Saturday, Jen and I are signed up for the Bleach Photochoot. We want to try to do a costume Change in the afternoon (Since my shoes kill me, and her face paint kills her) So on saturday at least, one quick pair of showers and costume changes later... And Saturday afternoon is going to be spent in Soul Eater costumes! (Simple, minimal makeup, and there'll be a Soul Eater group to meet up with. So Saturday night, Tsubaki.
Friday I'll head down in Enma Ai, spend the day as Enma Ai and take contracts with my Ren (Jen) and Honna Onna (Kachi) then collect on the contracts with them in my Kimono form on Friday night.
Sunday will likely be spent as Rosiland Azreal from a Fan story for Hellsing Jen wrote and is turning into a Manga (You'll be able to find it here on DA soon under the account we're creating for it) called Apostles of the Third Aeon. It's a fanscript about what's happening in America and what the American equalivant of Hellsing and Iscariot are doing during the incidents in England. It's fun. We're gonna play our OC's from the story and have copies of our manga at the con.
The transforming Tetseiga WILL be completed by then, and I'll be showcasing it there. If the design works out the way I want it to... I think I might make a few extras and sell them at the con.

tut-date
He's less of a man since he got his hairballs cut off. But he's not spraying everything which is fine with me. He doesn't seem to have really noticed, except that he's calmer and less violent. He's back to fetching sticks and chasing balls through the house. And I'm going to try to get him a couple of 50 cent goldfish and put them in the tub to see if he chases them. We think he might be very diluted part geffoery's fishing cat. He shows all the signs of it. So I'm gonna try that.

I'm writing again! (Yay!)
Finals are over, and I know it's been absolutely -dead- from me lately. (ugh) But... I'm in the mood to write and I'll be getting the next installment of RttL done. I've been reading it and rereading it and going over it, so I think I'm going to go back and clean it up a little and repost the whole story (up to this point, of course) and then post up the next chapter. I'd like very much to start posting larger segments of it so people don't feel gyped when they read it. AND! I'm going to be adding in a border on my story. Possibly a picture of Jareth, Jadia and Gradi as children.
That's my hope anyway.

Tut-date
Tut is HUGE! He's gotten about ten times bigger than when he first got here and he's still growing! He's the size of a small dog now, and he's still so cute. He has "Little Pink Fish" which is a small pink plush clowfish that we gave him as his first toy, and if you kick it across the room and tell him that his fish is getting away he goes tearing after it like a madman. It's so cute!
I've managed to get pretty far in learning Japanese. It's almost to the point where I don't need subtitles on my favorite animes. (YAY!)

Speaking of Animes... *grins* I went to MTAC and had a total freaking BLAST!!
I walked around as Tenten from Naruto on friday, part of Saturday and Sunday, as well as Nemu Kurotsuchi from Bleach on Saturday and part of Sunday.
My friend Shay was Kabuto for Friday, part of Saturday and Sunday, and for most of Saturday she was Mayuri Kurotsuchi from Bleach.
This has bearing because she was the creepy-looking doctor/regenerator Capitan of the 12th (Ju-ni) Squad, and I was the Vice-Capitan of the 12th squad. AKA- She was the evil mean guy and I was the quiet girl that gets pushed around, kicked around and hit a lot. It was great! Shay's not the type of person you'd expect to be evil (Mayuri's not evil, really he's completely utterly and truely True Neutral) much less -mean- She's really soft-spoken, apologizes for everything and hates violence. But put her in the Mauyri costume and she drops -right- into character. It was really fun being the quiet little girl who gets pushed around. Especially when I got to see the reactions to the Mayuri costume. Since.. I like.. made her costume.
It turned out amazing for only being done in twelve hours. And I've created a monster out of her because now she's a cosplayer, and she looks at EVERYTHING and goes "I could use this for (insert blank here)"
*giggle* It's great, because I have a friend that I'm slowly converting to Japanese, I'm getting her to watch -much- more anime, and she's willing to cosplay with me and work on costumes just for the fun of doing it. It's great!
Our next projects are a Hellsing group, (I'm being Seras Victoria, she wants to be Father Alexander Anderson) And she wants to build me a bloody Alucard head to carry around so she can look imposing and cruel and follow me around like she's hunting me down *chuckles* Then she wants to make me the 6foot tall cannon that Seras weilds That'll be LOTS of fun *giggles* We also have to catch her up with the rest of the cosplay group and get her a Full Metal Alchemist (She's wanting to go as Greed, and I'm going to be Lust) So we both have to make FMA costumes. We have to get her a Ritsu (The Monkey) costume for Fruits Basket (And I'm ging to make The THING for my Tohru cosplay) THEN, we have her Inuyasha costume to make (She's being Seshomaru) And I get to make the costume *squeals* I can't WAIT to get to work on that too. It's so beautiful and elaborate and wonderful. I really look forward to the challenge of making it and making it look REALLY good.
Hopefully I'll convince the group that we need to do Avatar soon, so I can get to work on my Yue and Azula costumes, Shay hasn't decided who she'd be for Avatar. I -think- with her height (She's about six feet tall) that she'd make a decent Zuko or even Ursula.
I have a personal Cosplay challenge I've given myself. I'm making (or trying to make) a transforming Tetseiga. I want to be able to draw a fully transformed sword from a scabbard and have it look really nice, or if you draw it another way it comes out as an old beat-up-looking sword.
Okay so that's.. everything I think. And I've written a really long Journal, I'm sorry lol. But it's been so long. I'll try to update more often.
